HRP Speedway to bookend 2010 USMTS Southern Series

The USMTS Southern Series recently announced their tentative 2010 race schedule, which is highlighted by two triple header weekends to start and end their season at Houston Raceway Park’s Speedway. The USMTS Southern Series will return to the Speedway February 18-20th and conclude with the 4th annual Texas Winter Nationals, November 18-20th.

“The management team at Houston Raceway Park is second to no one in the motorsports business and they know how to put on one heck of a show for our racers, sponsors, and fans,” said Todd Staley, USMTS president and race director. “We can’t wait to kick the season off their February 18-20th.”

“The USMTS has clearly established itself as a motorsports property every Speedway should have and we are grateful they continue to choose Houston Raceway Park year after year,” said Seth Angel, HRP general manager.” “I encourage all of our race fans to mark their calendars for these two must see events.”

The Speedway at Houston Raceway Park is one of the fastest 1/4 mile high-banked dirt ovals in Southeast Texas. The facility was constructed in the year 2000 and has a main grand stand seating capacity of 7,500, includes 14 VIP Luxury Suites, and boosts a state of-the-art Musco Lighting system for TV quality productions.

Houston Raceway Park is located 25 miles east of downtown Houston off Interstate-10. Take Exit #799 (SH 99 Grand Parkway) and go South to FM 565 (1st exit). Take a right at FM 565 and Houston Raceway Park is located on your right side. The Speedway entrance is located at Gate 3.
