ELM MOTT—Keith Green from Robinson picked up his first IMCA modified feature win of the 2010 season Friday night at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway. Chase Jupe from West and Keith White from Academy were the second and third place finishers.

Sid Kiphen from Gatesville took home the winner’s trophy in the IMCA SportMod feature. Keith White added another second place for the night, and Brandon Stewart from Academy ran third. Continue reading »

Pleasanton, Tx.,(March 13th, 2010) I-37 Raceway kicked off its 2010 racing season with a new look, on a new night and the return of the IMCA Modified class. Over the off season the ¼ mile, semi-banked, clay oval got a face lift with new banking and corner transition, plus the removal of the tire barriers making way for a wider track and run off area.

The new year also marked the return of the popular Modifieds running under IMCA sanction again. Other classes on the weekly racing card include the IMCA Southern Sportmods, Limited Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Front Runners. The Brazos Mini Sprints and Dwarf Cars will make occasional appearances throughout the year.

Kiphen Takes SportMod Win at HOT

ELM MOTT—Sid Kiphen from Gatesville took home the IMCA SportMod winner’s trophy on the second week of racing Friday night at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway. T.J. Green and Chris Cogburn, both from Robinson, followed in second and third.

Keith White from Academy repeated his first night performance with another win in the IMCA modified feature. Jimmie Helona from Crawford was second and Johnny Sheets took third.

Shannon Dulock from Axtell won the IMCA hobby stock feature trailed by first time driver ,Dylan Lucko, from Waco and Jeff Sexton from West. Continue reading »

Kilgore, TX-March 12, 2010-Craig Dollansky had been fast right out of the box in 2010, but had been plagued with bad luck in nearly every one of the first five World of Outlaws events of the season. He put all of that behind him on Friday night at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, Texas, turning in a very strong performance from start to finish en route to picking up his first World of Outlaws victory of the season.

For Dollansky, the $10,000 win over 20-time World of Outlaws champion Steve Kinser and current series point leader Joey Saldana, was the 32nd of his World of Outlaws career. It was his second career victory in Texas and his first in the state since 2001. Continue reading »

STEPHENVILLE, Texas (March 7) – Feature events are on the program both nights, during 281 Speedway’s Saturday and Sunday, March 13-14 season opening Spring Fling special.

First place in the IMCA Modified mains pays $400. Southwest Racing Specialties Southern SportMods race for $225 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for top prizes of $200 and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks chase $100 checks.
