Limited Modified Steering
- Clean up steering parts from the chassis you started with.
- Check drag link, idler arm, tie rod ends for wear (replace if bad).
- Remove tie rod ends from sleeves clean and oil so they adjust freely.
- Clean up and install steering box and steering arm.
- Install front steering parts, drag link, idler arm, tie rod ends
- At this point I would install a dummy engine block, heads, and headers to
make sure everything clears
- You need to locate steering wheel and steering shaft mount to fit the
driver
- Mount (See quick steer page) quick steer unit and make up shaft steering
box u-joint to quick steer sleeve
- Mount shaft (steering wheel to quick steer unit)
- It is very important to not have any shaft bind
- Day Motor Sports has a nice steering kit at a good price.
