IMCA classes were not on the program due to the IMCA Southern SportMod Nationals scheduled this weekend as well.

Jason Gauntt picked up another win in the street stock feature with Tommy Kirkpatrick in second and Matt Hood in third.

Wade White, Tommy Honey, and Melvin Kemp, Jr. were the top three in the pure stock feature.

The cruiser feature win went to Jeff Williams. Andrew Richards placed second and Martin Quiram was third.

The Kornegay sisters had the junior mini stock feature all to themselves. Younger sister, Kayleigh, collected the first winner’s trophy of her racing career ahead of older sister, Jordan.

Jay Hutson, Ryan Ellis, and Dustin Thompson finished one, two, and three in the Texas Twister feature race.

The Speedway will be closed next Friday night due to the IMCA Nationals in Boone, Iowa. Races will be held on Saturday, September 11, instead. The Sprint Series of Texas, the Junior Mini Stock Young Guns Shootout, and a Front Wheel Drive Cars Only Demolition Derby will highlight a regular point night for street stock, pure stock, cruiser, and Texas Twisters. T.J. Green earned the win in the IMCA SportMod feature with Bobby Mercer Jr. in second and Randy Doyle in third.

Keith White padded his point lead in the IMCA modified class with another feature win. Keith Green ran second and Ben Ketteman took third.

David Khoury, Jason Gauntt, and Ed Thompson were the top three to reach the finish line in the street stock feature.

Cousins Timmy and Melvin Kemp claimed the top two spots in the pure stock feature. Tommy Honey came in third.

Andrew Richards added points to his lead with a win in the cruiser feature. Jeff Williams and Steve Wade were second and third.

Jordan Kornegay inherited first place in the junior mini stock feature after the first place finisher was disqualified in a post race inspections. Kayleigh Kornegay tailed her sister and moved to second place. Dylan Shilling advanced to third.

Johnny Japot took home the winner’s trophy in the Texas Twister feature. Norris Meeks followed in second and Jay Hutson was third.

Keith White continued his domination of the IMCA modified and SportMod classes with wins in both feature races. J.P. Dowell and Keith Green tailed White in the modified race, and T.J. Green and Chris Cogburn came in second and third in the SportMod event.

The street stock feature winner was David Khoury. Jason Gauntt and Doug Andrews rounded out the top three. Point leader, Tommy Kirkpatrick placed fourth to maintain his lead over Andrews by one point.

Kevin Smith earned the pure stock the point lead by one point over Jeff Shepperd with his feature win. Tommy Honey finished in second, and Jeff Willis ran third.

Barry Gaston added another win to his slate in the cruiser feature with Kevin Harper in second and point leader, Andrew Richards, in third.

Top three in the junior mini stock feature were Jordan Kornegay, Dylan Shilling, and Corbin Suggs.

Jay Hutson stayed on top in the Texas Twister feature and the point race. Amy Nichols had her best finish of the year in second, and Dena Wachsmann also tied her personal best in third.

Ralph Wren claimed the top prize in the visiting Brazos Mini Stock feature. Dustin Davidson followed in second, and Jeb Sessums took third.

Kids from eight months old to 13 competed by age groups in bicycle races to during the program.

The ASCS Sprints put on a fast, exciting battle for the fans before Ray Allen Kulhanek snatched the win in the shootout between the Gulf South and Lone Star regions. Skip Wilson landed in second place and Gary Wright came in third.

Keith White had no problems winning both the IMCA modified and IMCA SportMod features with racers lined up by points. Chase Jupe and Benji Kirkpatrick were second and third in the modified race, and Mark McDaniel and Kevin Green were second and third in the SportMod main.

Shannon Dulock took the win in the IMCA hobby stock feature. Jeff Sexton followed in second and Jeremy Oliver was third.

Melvin Kemp Jr. claimed the win in the pure stock feature with Kevin Smith in second and Tommy Honey in third.

Andrew Richards picked up the winner’s trophy in the cruiser feature. Martin Quiram drove his new ride to second, and Steve Wade ran third.

The top three junior mini stock drivers were Jarrett Roberts, Jordan Kornegay, and Dylan Shilling.

Jay Hutson drove his way back to Victory Lane after a long dry spell in the Texas Twisters feature. Austin Smith and Martin Quiram rounded out the top three.

Cham Savage took top honors in the IMCA modified feature. Keith White and Justin Redmon rounded out the top three.

IMCA Hobby stock point leader, Jeremy Oliver, added a first win to his credits. Aaron Headrick posted his best finish of the season in second, and Jeff Sexon followed in third.

David Khoury, Ed Thompson, and Chuck Hamlin were to top three in the street stock feature.

Wade White picked up his first win of the season in the pure stock feature ahead of Tommy Honey and Jerry Whatley.

The cruiser winner was Jeff Williams. Andrew Richards and Brandon Kreder ran second and third.

Jordan Kornegay padded her point lead in the junior mini stock class with a feature win over Jarrett Roberts and Corbin Suggs.

Michael Hilliard, Austin Smith, and Rick Morosky took home the trophies for the top three finishers in the Texas twister class.

Chad Estes led the visiting I-stock field to the checkered flag. Brant Willis and Robin Batt earned the second and third place spots.

Nicholas Randall, Sasha Sessums, and Troy Wren were the first three Brazos Mini Sprints to the finish line in the stock/outlaw feature. Dylan Fox took the win in the restrictor race.

Sid Kiphen from Gatesville took home the winner’s trophy in the IMCA SportMod feature. Keith White added another second place for the night, and Brandon Stewart from Academy ran third.

Charlie Norris from Hillsboro led Michael Guenat from Robinson and Michael Votaw from Whitney to the finish line in the IMCA Hobby Stock feature.

The first three to the checkered flag in the street stock feature were local drivers Jason Honey, John Heffelfinger, and Tommy Kirkpatrick.

Melvin Kemp Jr. won the pure stock feature followed by Kevin Smith and Tommy Honey, all from Waco.

Brandon Kreder from Elm Mott won the cruiser feature in his third race in this class. Luther Carnahan from Waco was second, and Kevin Harper from McGregor took third.

Jordan Kornegay from China Spring, Jarrett Roberts from Temple, and Cory Kreder from Elm Mott were the top three finishers in the Junior Mini Stock feature.

Jay Hutson from Waco earned another winner’s trophy in the Texas Twister race with Rick Morosky from Waco in second and Michael Hilliard from Temple in third.

The IMCA Stock cars made their first visit to the Speedway for the season. Matt Guillaume, Dan Day, and Duain Pritchett were the top three finishers.

The Brazos Mini Stocks were also on the program. Twenty-seven drivers competed in three classes.

Next Friday, IMCA modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA hobby stocks, street stocks, pure stocks, cruisers, junior mini stocks, and Texas Twisters will be competing. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. and racing begins at 8:00 P.M.
