Ft. Worth, Tx.,(Feb. 27Th, 2010) The 4/10th mile, semi-banked dirt track at Texas Motor Speedway completed it’s annual Texas Dirt Track Championship events Saturday night with championship races in all classes. The SUPR Late Models headlined the night with 55 Late Models signing in, including several pro touring invaders from Arkansas. Final qualifiers were run in the Modified and Limited Modifieds to fill each of their fields for the three big main events capping off the night. Continue reading »

Spectacular Events Abound at Lone Star Speedway in 2010

The long-awaited reopening of Lone Star Speedway (LSS) took place a year ago, after new owners Lisa and Sam Hafertepe gave the facility a much needed and massive makeover. Fans were treated to several great events throughout the season at the ultra-fast ½ mile high-banked clay oval.

2010 will be no different, as right out of the gate on Friday March 12th the return of the “Fastest Show on Dirt” will make its way back to LSS when the World of Outlaws Sprint Series stages its only scheduled visit of the season. Names of the likes of Steve and Kraig Kinser, Danny Lasoski, Donny Schatz, Craig Dollansky, Joey Saldana, Jason Meyers and son of LSS track owners Sam Hafertepe Jr., amongst many others, will take part in a full night of qualifying, heats, dash and feature race competition. As of January 7 we would like to announce that the 2010 season will be promoted by Bubba Davis and Tommy Davis Jr. We are very excited about the upcoming season and looking forward to alot of good racing.The classes are as follows: Outlaw Modifieds (Southern Modifieds), Limited Modifieds, Street Stocks, Bombers, and we are adding the Mini Stocks and Jr Mini Stocks. Our limited modifieds will still be participating in the RACETX series. The street stock rules will remain the same as posted on the track website with the only exception of the street stock rules will be a motor claim of $525 and swap.
